Eureka: "Games People Play"
Preface:
Eureka got me within the first quarter of the pilot. It took me a long time to watch the whole season though. I tried to plow through it like I normally do with other TV shows, but I struggled. Maybe it was due to the low video quality (I taped all the episodes straight from SciFi Channel). Maybe it's because I was watching it usually on Sunday afternoons after basketball and a whole week and weekend of stuff. I started to wonder about the show - if it hit like The Nine and then fizzled out like The Nine. I pushed on and the last 3 or 4 episodes of S1 were very good. I followed that up with watching the first 3 episodes of S2 right after.
S2 Ep. 4: "Games People Play"
Even though it was pretty easy to weed out what was happening: Jack needing to work out his issues with Zoe, it was a very effective episode as an Ode to our favorite Sheriff's first job as a father. The sweet moments with the Eureka citizens waiting anxiously for Jack to make it through and pouring in once he did were just that.. truly sweet. Sarah was shining throughout, also especially with her incident with the ex-wife and at the end with her assistance in the final scene. Wonderful.
I am scared about Henry though.
Don't do it, guys. Don't.
